Y-Strainers are devices for mechanically removing solids from flowing liquids by way of a perforated straining element.
Great for screening a line before pumps, meters, control valves, and regulators or to stop contaminates spreading further down your line and potentially damaging property.
Suited for water, gases and other non corrosive media with temperatures from -20°C to 150°C.
For protection from tank, river, dam or dirty water, subjected to debris and physical waste, connect the "Y" strainer after the ball valve coming off the tank outlet, before the pump.
Check the "Y" strainer for any blockages at least once a month.
